Identity verification information

Information required to complete identity checks is handled by our verification provider.

Document numbers and document images are never stored in your public profile and are never shown to other members.

Age verification

We record whether your age has been confirmed as 18 or over.

Face / liveness verification

We record whether a face check was completed. Other members never see face-check imagery.

Location information

While you use discovery features we process your device location to work out who is nearby.

Other members only ever receive general proximity categories. Coordinates are never shown to them.

Subscription and payment information

Our payment provider processes your payment. We store your membership tier and billing period, not your card details.

Messages and interactions

Say Hi requests, connections and messages, so the service can function and so we can investigate reports.

Reports and safety information

Reports, blocks and moderation decisions, kept so we can keep the community safe.

Device and technical information

Basic technical data such as device type and app errors, used to keep the service working.

Why information is processed

To operate discovery, to verify that members are real adults, to keep people safe, to process subscriptions and to meet our legal obligations.

How information is used

We use it to run the features you have chosen to use. We do not sell your personal information, and we never sell location as a tracking product.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with providers who host our infrastructure, verify identity and process payments.

Identity verification providers

Verification is performed by a specialist provider under their own privacy terms.

Payment providers

Payments are handled by our payment provider. Raw card details never reach us.

Data security

Access to personal data is restricted, and sensitive verification data is kept out of anything other members can see.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only where we need it for safety, legal or accounting reasons.

User controls

You control your Single Signal, your discovery settings, your location permission, Crossed Paths, your blocked list and your profile content.

Account deletion

Deleting your account removes your profile from discovery and ends your interactions with other members.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal information. Contact us and we will help.

Children and the under-18 restriction

Who is Single? is strictly for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
