Safety & Location Privacy

How location is used, and the limits we place on it.

Why we use location

Location is the whole point of the app: it is how we work out whether other opted-in verified singles are near you right now.

The limits we place on it

  • • Precise location is never displayed to other members.
  • • Other members see general proximity categories only.
  • • You control when your Single Signal is active.
  • • You can pause discovery at any time.
  • • You can revoke location permission at any time.
  • • Exact coordinates are never publicly displayed.
  • • Crossed Paths never discloses where or precisely when you crossed.
  • • Location is never sold or offered as an exact tracking feature.

Location freshness

Discovery only uses recent location data. Stale location is ignored rather than shown to anyone.

Meeting safely

Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and leave whenever you want to. See the Safety Centre for full guidance.

What verification does and does not mean

Verification means identity checks were completed. It is not a guarantee of anyone's intentions, character or behaviour, and it is not a guarantee of your safety.
